

Impositions, 2011–2014
Reworked through layers of digital “exposure,” these iPhone images of New York City carry traces of time and place folding over themselves. Some frames blend two moments, others as many as five.The title speaks to how experiencing New York City for the first time reassembles itself over time into a layered, dream-like memory.
Each 16-page zine is printed on archival matte photo paper and hand-stitched with lightly-waxed linen thread. Assembled start to finish in my Washington Heights studio.
